[BoostedGT]

Dfwstangs.net has broken down our fastest members into four distinct categories. Those categories are: Fastest 1/8th Mile - P/A, Fastest 1/4 Mile - P/A, Fastest 1/8th mile - N/A, and Fastest 1/4 mile - N/A.

Please check out the following rules:

1. You must be an active member of DFWStangs with a minimum of 100 posts. To be active requires a minimum posting rate of 100 posts per year.

2. Car must have run the time recently. (ie: Passes older than 2 years will be removed.)

Please send all updates to me via private message.

Update to my 1/8 mile time:

Unfortunately I cut a weak .081 light to my opponents .038 yesterday and lost 1st round. I ran a 6.58 to his 6.63, I was peddling the last 100' and kept a tire on him, with a .0055 finish margin, just gave up too much at the tree.

So I took advantage of the 70 degree weather, 77% humidity.

I didn't touch a thing on the tune. 81 jets, about 34* timing, 4500 rpm against the t-brake, 12 lbs in the tires warm.

1.43 sixty foot (WOW!) new bests
6.49 1/8 new bests
105.8 mph

The car has actually gone 106.1 mph before, so the weather didn't really pick up the mph at all, but the sixty foot loved it!

Previous best was around 6.57@105.8 with a 1.47 sixty foot.

The car came up and pulled something like a 2 foot wheelie and felt like it carred for a good 30-40 feet or so.

I came back around about 30 minutes later and spun to a 1.45 sixty foot and 6.53@105.1. It felt like it shook the tires while the front wheels were in the air.

I had the front struts on full loose and the rear shocks on about 6.




My first pass of the day spun badly to 6.77 with a 1.58 sixty foot, next went 6.71 with a 1.51 sixty, took the mufflers off for 2nd round qualify and went 6.61@104 with a 1.49 sixty foot. First round elim went 6.58@102 with a 1.47 sixty (lifting).

I really hoped the car would be 6.60s or high 6.50s with the mufflers on yesterday. I guess I'm going to have to say F-it and just put some 3.5" bullets on it with turn downs just to kill a little noise, but save some weight.

So the new best is:
1.43 sixty foot
6.49 1/8
105.8 mph

2950 is lbs weight, 70 degree weather, 77% humidity, 28x10.5 ET Drags, C4 auto.

The new times for the camaro were made yesterday at the plex. 6.47 @ 104 1/8 mile and 10.31 @ 128 1/4 mile thing was having a 1.386 60ft. It is fun to drive now with a stock front suspension from the 70s with 15mph cross winds!!!!

we pilled up ours a little more to run that number but i still need wheels that are the right backspacing. they are rubbing like you know what when i leave. i have 4.5inch backspacing with a 10in tire..not a good combo.

We have already gone 4.86@151 a couple of months ago on the true ten I am tired of buying a 400 dollar set of tires for every race. last weekend we went to shreveport and raced limited street ran 4.99 @158 and went two rounds and they did not give us a penny. I spent $900. on that trip. I am pretty much done with limited street. I would like to sell this chassis and buy something lighter so I can run promod and top sportsman and local back half races I probably will have to lighten this car up and just run what I already have due to nobody is spending any money right now. We have already gone 4.86@151 a couple of months ago on the true ten I am tired of buying a 400 dollar set of tires for every race. last weekend we went to shreveport and raced limited street ran 4.99 @158 and went two rounds and they did not give us a penny. I spent $900. on that trip. I am pretty much done with limited street. John Sheffield I saw on YB this guy got his outlaw 10.5 notchback to 2200#'s with a iron block nitrous motor. Pretty sure it's a carbon body by the looks of it and it still has factory front frame rails. It's possible to get them real light but it's a lot of $$$$$$. I hear ya on the limited street expense deal. Why do you think I have a ZO6 now and am happier then I have been in a while with it. Now I am going to drop some money on it to make it faster but not $2K a month in bullshit.

Tried to go 4.30's with it and it broke the wheelie bars off were the tubes were not telescoped properly.

thanks Unc to tell you the truth I wish i could step back and come back and run ttt5 there is hardly any races for cars like this in texas I might build me a another ttt5 chassis and come play once a month like old times
