Block off the drain and see if they go away.

Fill a small bowl with apple cider vinegar, put a little dish soap in there and mix it up. Leave it out by the sink.
Problem solved.

We had those little bastards for a while. We hung one of those big fly strips from Tractor Supply Co over the sink. It caught tons. One note though, be careful when leaning over the sink - it will stick to your head. We kept pouring different kinds of pesticides down the sink. Just keep repeating the process until all the larvae are hatched and gone.
Oh, and get one of those hand-held electronic bug zappers at Harbor Freight. They're 3.99. It's very satisfying to roast the little buggers.
Had trouble with that a while back....ended up being the septic system was funky....(if you are on city, I guess that's not it though)

Call a plumber if the vinegar and other home remedies don't work. I had a similar problem . . . kept the fruit in the fridge and used vinegar/soap in a bowl - thought it worked but they kept coming back. Called a plumber and turned out that my drain had shit growing in it . . . replaced the drain pipe, problem solved.

Like Mr. Smith said above. I used a pie-pan with apple cider vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap. Stirred it up real well. Leave it out all day / night for about a week. ( Change the mixture daily though ). And make sure all the fruit is in the refrigerator.
Now, if someone can tell me how to get rid of all these flys. The two things I bought from walmart didn't kill a single one of them. One of them hangs and has an odor which they are supposed to attract them, the other is a glue rod. Both a waste of money. Fly swatter seems to be the only thing working.

hmm now that you mention the plumber my disposal thing has been making a weird noise lately i wonder if that needs to be replaced and the food isn't going down the drain correctly.
