So I'm making one - kitchen looks like a bread bomb went off - shit everywhere, time to get this organized. Basic premise here, just a standard angled box with a top on it. I'm working on the engravings and then I plan on staining it and calling in done.

I think you started yourself many more projects in the future. You're gonna be making boxes for cereal, eggs, tampons, used tampons, etc, etc.
Looks pretty cool though! You've got some woodworking skills...

I will be DAMNED if I made a tampon box.
actually, it could be pretty funny.
"I'm a nasty fucking whore that needs to shut the fuck up this week"

I tried to google a wooden tampon box as I thought it would be funny to post one up. Guess the jokes on me, pretty nasty stuff out there!

close up on the scroll work?
once I stain it I will take some more shots - it isn't that pretty up close. I did this with a rotary, if I wanted to make it look perfect I would have use hand tools, but pine is awfully soft, and difficult to work with on small intricate patterns.

I hear ya. It looks damn fine for a bread box!!! I can't do scroll work to save my life, so I'm always interested to see how the fuck people do it :o

Stuff like that is why I want a CNC router. I'm saving up for the Craftsman CompuCarve.
