The year is 1907, one hundred -one years ago.
Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

Theodore Roosevelt
In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

not according to lulac and the naacp. latin and african american is just an adjective, but an enhancement to the word american. so they are entitled to extra "benefits" for it.

hell i wouldnt mind either if i could get preferential treatment just for that extra adjective  .

I yelled at the guy who was trying to put up NAACP flyers at school. I asked why he believed he needed an organization yet if I put up a NAAWP flyer it'd be racist. He said I'd never understand and walked off.

I just want a full refund for what was taken from me, knowing that I'm not getting it back.

Why listen to some old dude? What was going on 100 years ago is completely irrelevant to the lives we live today...everyone knows that!

I would have said that, but it makes me far too angry to discuss in a serious manner. :(

Amen to that! Not a penny more or less, just what should be mine, and should not be sent to illegal aliens. Especially those who have moved back to Mexico and are receiving monthly checks from the government.

but an enhancement to the word american.

The word American can not be enhanced anymore. Only degraded by perceived "enhancements."
