GREAT FALLS - A study shows an estimated 1,200 bats, most of them probably migrating through Montana, were killed by wind turbines at the Judith Gap Wind Farm between July 2006 and May 2007.

Yeah, only in the USA can the ecologists kill a non-polluting "green" project to save the ecology
<--predicts stiff opposition to wind farms by the ecologists

What does that work out to, one or two bats a month per wind turbine?
That doesn't seem that awful.
*shrugs*
they say the windmills also kill thousands of migratory birds... This has been a huge hippy reason not to have wind farms for years
<---doesnt care about the birds and wants cheap energy

Too many birds anyways... it lessens the amount of birds sitting in the middle of the road when i'm driving.
Hoooray for wind mills.

The environuts fighting the animal rights nuts is just another in a long line of the progressives and their hypocrisy. This is just like the tree huggers fighting the environuts in California when giant redwood trees were blocking the sun from a guy with solar panels on his roof. The courts made the tree owner cut down his redwoods. LOL

And that is a great example. What takes precedence? Tree's block the sun from the guy with the panels; trees block the wind from the guy with the windmill; a moose family in ANWAR blocks a country from drilling (along with the senate). Where does this nonsense stop?
I guess by now everyone nows that Nancy Pelosi has blocked the drilling ban issue (that Bush lifted), from getting to the floor of the senate, right?
Please help vote these assholes OUT!

now what we need to do is all stick our arms in a ceiling fan when we get home. Then we will all get together and sue the fan company because it injured all of us.. They will look at us like we are stupid for putting our arms in the fan. then we can say then the birds are stupid too... then maybe they'll drop this bird killing BS :D
If they had any idea how many birds are killed in rail yards every day they'd ban trains. Grain cars leak, birds eat grain, can't hear trains coming because it's extremely loud, get killed. The real problem is grain, we need to ban it!
Then we can ban electricity since so many fish are confused when going through dams and by the slightly elevated water temperature from nuclear reactor cooling.

lets go ahead and ban money too while we are at it.. people are robbed and killed every day because of money... so lets ban it
Then we can ban work because people are getting killed on the job too.. man this is going to be a hell of a snowball effect
