And how they're screening people to see if they'll be good audience members... fucking bullshit!

He's in Baghdad right now, but did anyone see the "audience" he had when he took the podium? There was about 50 bruthas and sistas in uniform, cheering him on. Why not have a base-wide address? Bush did, McCain did, RUMSFELDT did (I actually met him). Why have a screening process to see who can listen to him?

It doesn't matter what they look like. The Army is a bastion of black republicans, anyway, so that plan should backfire nicely.

That's the thing... several of them are going to get weeded out on that screening process as well. There are always those nut huggers who will do anything to get on TV.

Denny, I think they do this everywhere he goes. Remeber the ladies in the burka's that they moved out of camera range, or him looking for "more white people" to get on his stage with him? He is a product of the press, and no more. I can't believe that ass-clown could be our president. He's all smoke and mirrors, created by our press.
You never see him smoking on TV, but he still does. They won't show that, because it could be a sign of weakness. Think maybe he has a problem handling stress?

Several elections ago, "character" was one of the qualifications the public was asked to consider when they voted. In my opinion, O'Bama and Billery fail miserably in this department.

Consider these two:

1. What would O"Bama or Billery do if they were in JFKs chair during the Cuban Missle Crisis?
2. If you were to die, would you want O'Bama to raise your children?

My answer to these to two questions is a shuddering "HOLY BOWEL MOVEMENT"!

O"BAMA IS A FRAUD.

hahaha, man I hid when politicians were at Victory Base. I hated their unannounced visits, I was usually dressed good enough to be shoved in front of them. So I started to keep an ITT Industries logo'ed shirt around for when they showed up unannounced. They'd never stick someone on TV with a logo'ed shirt for a commercial company.

However, Denny is right. Basically, if you got their in time anyone was allowed to hang out and have their chance to ask a question/be on TV. They sure lets some goofballs go out there too.

He'd say it's not his fault, rather it's the fault of the tobacco companies for deliberately targeting people of color with slick ads.

Sounds like something a typical politician would do. Not surprised.

I'm not saying that. I'm just speaking from what I see over here. This conversation was talking about Obama's Mid-East Trip and I compared it to Bush's, McCain's and Rummie's since someone brought up that it's the same thing Republicans do. Now you want to talk about EVER?!?!

This email is getting passed around here. I checked snopes, with nothing found. Anyone else see this yet or can verify truth or BS?

I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plan and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, he vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service. So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy
Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of
the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be
our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those
that provide the freedom for him and our great country. If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

I'm not going to give him THAT much credit... he might have some AC support, but that chump couldn't possibly be.

if he won and had countries standing besides us instead of against us, and also kicked the deficit, you know how many people would join the bandwagon.... ;) its a numbers game from there

Once again... a select number of screened troops were allowed in his presence while he was in theatre.
