could you copy a box design, and have the port extending out of the box, instead of being recessed?

the idea is to have it ported up through the rear deck on a car. the port would be in roughly the same place, and be the same dementions, but would be extending up towards the deck.

I actuallly have a box with 2 4" flared ports with it extending out. i hit a 150+ with it.

Yes, you can do bandpass like that.
