I stumbled onto a set at a pawn shop today and talked them down to 120 out the door with stands for the small speakers. I have a nice set of older Advent Heritage tower speakers with dual 8" woofers that the foam rotted out of and was just about ready to order some replacement woofers for 250 bucks and then found these so I thought they might sound good as replacements since they are BOSE :rolleyes: With good woofers the Advents sound terrific and have TONS of bass.
Well...crystal clear highs and great separation (about what I expected)...absolutely NO midrange and the bass output is terrible...almost non-existent. Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get the most room filling bass out of this subwoofer or if it really sucks THAT bad. They told me I could return them for a refund if I found anything wrong with them...Im thinkin I just might do that because these things sound horrible. Advice?
