Did you all not see the James Thompson fight. Monsun is light years ahead of JT on the ground and i am pretty sure monson would gator roll his ass into a knot!

Tim is taller than Kimbo and alot more experianced at defending the takedown. Monson will have his way with Kimbo on the ground, don't get me wrong Kimbo will get his shots in but in the end it will be a submission.

Did you not see all the fights prior to the Thompson fight? That was the first time a Kimbo fight lasted longer than two minutes or so. Not to mention, he was the first to ever get Kimbo to the ground.
Don't get me wrong. Kimbo's ground game sucks out loud. But, apparently there are very few that can hang long enough to get past Kimbo's haymakers.

Very few he has only fought a few? Ray Mercer, Tanks Abbot, Bo Cantrel..... who has Kimbo one puched? He does have decent power but i question if he really has one puch Irorn Mike power. It took Kimbo 3 rounds and a bs stoppage to put away Thompson.
Thompson has one of the biggest glass jaws in the history of MMA. How the hell did Kimbo not take him out like the other, i still have no clue.. He was put there to be another stepping stone for Kimbo. I say Kimbo was losing that fight up until that last flurry. His hype is starting to fade and he will soon be exposed as a b or c level fighter.
Monson is one of the best american grapplers out there. He would tap kimbo out in round 1..
Gary Shaw will not let this fight happen. So all this talk is for nothing.

I would think that last fight showed Kimbo
A. He is not ready to move up
B. If he is serious about becoming a better fighter he needs to step up his training ASAP hopefully Bas will help him.

He's still a white belt trying to fight with the blackbelts.
Over time, he could turn into a damn good fighter, but the odds are stacked against him, with his age, and experience. But he's trying and that says a lot.
Kimbo's going to continue to be fed easier opponents until he gets better adjusted. Hopefully one day he'll fight a real calibur fighter, and we'll see what he's really made of.

It makes me wonder how many "easy" fights there are left at the heavyweight level. Unless, of course, he starts fighting people no one has ever heard of at all. With his size and the inevitably limited remaining shelf-life, they might as well put him in there with a serious opponent. If he loses, it needed to happen. He might as well lose to a great fighter instead of some chump. If he wins, holy shit, good for him!
I like the guy. I don't think he's unbeatable. After that last fight, I'd have a hard time betting on him against anyone tough. But I'll still pull for the guy. We all know that anything can happen, right?

Monson is a 2-time Heavyweight Abu Dhabi Submission Grappling World champion. He's been around. If Monson can dodge the haymakers from Kimbo, he'll fold him into a pretzel. Kimbo's management won't let the fight happen because then everyone will see that he has a long way to go before he fights any real fighters.

You shouldn't really call people idiots based on something that has not and may not ever take place.
If you were as smart as you think you are, you'd know that ANYTHING can happen in the octagon, especially with power-hitters. Kimbo would obviously be the underdog, and I'm not saying he would have much of a chance, but it's been proven time and time again that one "lucky" punch or kick can put an end to the fight.
