george st. pierre will be moving up to 185 very soon! heard it from roger huerta who is training with him and his team! maybe silva will get beat down at 205 and move back down and we can see the fight of the decade!

Anderson still retains the belt at 185 so win lose or draw he will still have to defend it someday. Maybe he will get the winner of Franklin and Henderson. It would also make me happy to see him fight Bisping just so Pierre could smash him!

I also think that he needs to worry about defending the belt First.
He has not proven to be a dominate champion. Hell he hasnt even defended the belt yet. it makes sense for Anderson to move up because he has beaten the competition at 185.

Please don't make me watch Silva/Franklin 3. I can't imagine Rich has any interest in this fight.

GSP needs to make it past Fitch first.

No doubt. How many title defenses does he have? Oh yeah thats right zero. I say once he gets passed Fitch, Alves, Sanchez, Swick. Then he should think about moving. But the competition is way to good at 170. IMO 185 is a weaker division.
Silva is deadly with the knee's. Whomever fights Silva better take his legs away before the knee's catch him. He can and will be beaten it's just a matter of by who.
In the mean time sit back and enjoy one bad ass fighter.

i think gsp is one of the over all best fighters in the ufc! he hasnt fought tose guys but he will and personally i think he will win i think alves is his biggest comp. but i dont think alves can handle gsp's wrestling! and i would take gsp over silva if it ever happens!

Hell no! GSP has to win first, something he hasnt done in a while, is to actually beat someone he is facing for the first time. All his wins of the belt are against people that he has faced and got beaten by. If you are a fighter then you know first hand that getting in the cage/ring against someone for the first time is alot different then knowing what they are coming because you already faced them. I also agree with Silva being a bad man and that he will get beat in time, but not anytime soonat 185. 205 is a different story though. Just remeber, Silva is a 215ish wieght that cuts to 185 so 205 might be good for him. That is all.

I dont know about GSP over silva simpley due to the reach of silva over GSP. He would probably get caught witha knee once he shoots. However i will say if he can get it down he stands a good chance. And lets be honest Anderson Silvas takedown defense is not that good. However he is still dangerous off of his back and has mad upkicks and very good scrambles.

true the first fight is diff than the second but come on that matt s. shit was crazy! the belt has just been thrown and lost between three people for a while, now that it is settled down in gsps hands it will start to show how good he is! and i think silva wouldnt be as dominate as 205 bc of his lack of strenght and poor take down defence, i think he would get pounded out if he doesnt knock the other fighters out! and rumor has it franklin wants to go to 205, if silva stays or he wants to stay if silva goes :) he knows hes still good and can take most the contenders but that just puts him right back in the ring with silva. plus forrest vs franklin would be cool if ya ask me!

I think Anderson will fare just fine strength wise at 205. Keep in mind he didn't have any problems with Hendo's strength and he's a pretty strong 205'r. If he truly does cut from 215 as suggested ( I don't think so, looks more around a 205'r to me) he will likely lose some of his strength on the cut.

I would like to see GSP defend the belt!! I think Penn would win it he lost the first fight due to his gas tank. Although it looks like it is coming around.

I honestly dont think he will make it past Fitch, then Penn vs Fitch. Penns conditioning is so much better now. I believe he can go any five round fight against anybody and he has proved he is very well rounded. He gives the wrestling guys fits....lol Hey Nasty Nate its Randy, Joshs cousin, If this goes down let me know if you want a piece of that action and we will work something out.
