View Full Version : Thank God the damn US Open is over!
People that don't even watch or play golf were running around like it was the 2nd coming of Christ or something.
ugh.

I gagree!
Went to a sports bar Sat. night that had it on, then proceeded to run out a jazz band. If I didn't like beer so much, I would have left.

Amen I guess it takes a one legged Tiger to make it interesting for the rest of the suckers on the tour, lol.

I kind of enjoyed it. You have the #158 ranked player (Mediate), against the #1 all-time guy (Tiger), and he took him to 19 holes in a play-off. I was rooting for the under-dog all the way...

Yes it was, I watched all of it yesterday and I was in front of the set at 11:00am this morning til it was over. Very good game indeed!
I was pulling for Rocco M. All the way. Don't care much for Tiger but he has a wicked combonation of talent and luck...hard to beat!

We were at dinner last night, and the manager had dropped off some apps, when my dad asks him what the status was. He returns, gives us the report, & leaves.
Another server comes over to drop off my big ass beer, and Dad asks him what the status was... WTF? I rolled my eyes to the waiter, gave stink-eye to my Dad for being obnoxious, & stared down my cool one 'til I lost & had to drink up. :)

Does golf tourneyments really get good TV ratings anyway? Hell, I'd rather watch girl's college softball games or world cup soccer than golf.
Sure, Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer to live. And Ching Chang is the great ping-pong player in the world too! But I don't feel like that shit needs its 15 minutes on TV.
