His name has never been brought up during any of the steroid bullshit... and he has one of the cleanest swings around. Congrats.

The sweetest, most fluid swing I've ever seen.

Yup, Griffey and Daryl Strawberry are the best swings I can think of.

He needs to turn it on and knock Bonds out... it might be too late, though.

It could've been #700 if he hadn't had those 3 years or so with the Reds where he was hurt. A great natural talent.

I've always like Griffey Jr. still have his rookie card when I used to collect.

He's 38 :o

He's 6th on the list right now and he'll overtake Sosa (609) pretty soon, but to move up after that he'll have to best Willy Mays' 660.

I have one of the Score cards with him and his dad on it. It's probably worth about $2 though b/c of how flooded the market was around that time.

I've got several also. Upperdeck #1 (graded), San Bernardino Spirit (graded), the Fleer and Score rookies, the Topps Traded (graded), and a Topps Traded Tiffany (wish it was graded).

His 89 Upper Deck RC is his best one, I need to get one now before they go up again

He's always played baseball like a game. Out there solely to have fun. Wish he hadn't have broken his wrist...

Best pure talent I've evAr seen.

Griffey has an awesome swing, but I always loved Rafael Palmeiro's swing. :(

Yup me too, I have about 10 of his rookie cards and I think I have 3 '89 Upper Deck complete sets, along with tons of other cards. My son is going to be set up when I die, lol.

I still remember the first time I got his Rated Rookie. I've always loved his swing. Even though Seattle is a small market like Cincy, it seems after that move even prior to getting hurt, the move had a negative effect on his popularity.

Junior has one of the purest swings I've ever seen. I was really hoping he would have been the one that would capture the record as he seems like a decent guy. Injuries are a motherfucker.

Will Clark had a great swing too, but yea Griffey was great.

Short Story: The game (or one of the few) before the strike in '94 the Rangers were playing Seattle. Me and my fat ass friends were out at the ballpark, in the bleachers, in center field. My friends were drunk as hell and had their shirts off yelling at Griffey. He turns around, points at one (who was a fat mexican looking guy) and did a sit up motion. Needless to say the entire outfield section laughed their asses off. Then a few innings later we got kicked out for being a bunch of drunk teenagers. Everyone applauded.
