Normally I walk to/from the gym and home. Its a 3 mile round trip.
What is everyones opinion on Riding my bike vs walking to/from the gym????
Pretty much flat the whole way with one road that is slightly up hill.

It would be better if you ran it, but I would think the bike would be better, and get you there in a 1/4 of the time or better.

Walking is a good way to "wake your body" and loosen up a little going to the gym. It's also a great cool down before hitting the shower at home. I don't think either would be better or worse in that situation. I would probably mix it up every now and then, just whichever would be the preference of the day.

I wish i could run it, but after about 150yrds my knees start hurting like a bitch.
Plus my stamina for running is about shit right now.

Cycling is easy on the knees, and it sounds like if you have knee issues, you probably don't need to even walk it. A little 3-mile ride will warm you up on the way, and cool you down going home...

Either or would be fine. I'm 5 miles from where I swim. Sometimes I'll run it, sometimes I'll ride the bike depending on what I want to accomplish that day. If it is a short swim routine, I'll run. If it is a long swim routine I'll bike. If it is a medium swim, I'll ride but single gear it the entire way.
Mix it up, keep it interesting. Sometimes ride, sometimes walk, sometimes ride single gear and push yourself.

I usually ride my bike to the gym when I don't drive (2 miles one way). I usually run a couple miles at the gym and ride a few on the weekends. The riding is way easier on my body it seems...
If my knees hurt after running a short period of time I would try and find out what the problem is. Are you over weight?
