Sidney Ponson is no longer a member of the Rangers due to behavior detrimental to the team. It sucks, but at least they have the balls to get rid of a decent pitcher who's bringing down the team.

wow, that does suck. He always had great potential, but was still pretty average at best. If the Rangers were relying on him to take them to the playoffs, then they are in worse shape than everyone thinks....so releasing him isn't that big of a deal I don't think.

They say there was a fight in the Clubhouse which involved him and another Player. Soon after he gets canned.

If that was the case, he deserves to get his ass canned. He wasn't all that anyway.

The rumore is that Ponson and Young got into it and Kinsler was involved as well. Thats why Young wsnt in the lineup on Friday and he now has a broken finger. Ponson wa son a short leash anyway because of his conduct in Baltimore.

That's funny.

The Hard Line made references to it yesterday. Rumor is he got into it with Michael Young. This is supposedly where Young broke his finger. Then there's the incident Big Studly references. Plus there was an incident in a hotel bar where he was drunk and making an ass of himself and had to be escorted out.

WTF :confused: Who said anything about Hamilton? Is there really any point in substituting another player's name in for what Ponson might have done, then what the punishment would or wouldn't have been?

What if Nolan Ryan called Washington a Nigger? How stupid is that?

One things for sure though, if anyone calls Milton Bradley a Nigger that's the last thing they ever do :eek: He is one very angry black man :D

Nah Ponson has a history of being a troubled player. What I'm saying that his value isn't high. Josh's value is high and he could pretty much get away with a lot.

The rumor was Ponson and Young got into it and that wasn't true, but did hear where he called Wash a Nigga....

He's making close to the league minimum. Something like 338,000. This year is for proving his new self. So no, he can't get away with alot. He's a free agent, not a franchise player YET.
