Anyone watch the flick on A&E called The Andromeda Strain? it was pretty good IMO. A bit outlandish with some of the things they had available, and how easy they could get to the next level during the "blow up the building" scene, but all in all it was decent.

I've got it all DVR'd.
I did too. I set the one for Monday night in case I forgot to watch it, then didn't realize it was the whole 4 hour show last night, so I Tivo'd them both.

The original movie, from the 70's I believe, was pretty good for its time.

I get bored to easily to read long books. Plus I don't understand big words.

I get bored to easily to read long books. Plus I don't understand big words. It's a long book but a quick read. Another good book-turned-movie-turned-remake is I Am Legend; I read all ~150 pages in 3 days.

I loved the book... His books are all easy reads. I didn't like Timeline though. Most of the movies were lame...Congo and Sphere..eek!
I set the DVR to record, but it recorded part two. Hopefully they will re-run it a few more times.

Being the Sci-Fi fan that I am I enjoyed it. However, I like the original better as it wasn't so stylized and sensational.
