i came across this 954rr for sale, and wanted to get your guys opinion. He says everything is in good shape. and rides it daily and use to stunt it.
only thing he said was there was a small crack on the motor mount frame and has JB welded it.
here's some pics.

Worse case is, i have to go find a good frame and swap it out....but he said he's ridden it like that for a while.

ditto, weld it with TIG .
Do the damn repair right.
The title's not worth anything , see if you can talk him down a bit.

How hard would it be to convert this bike back to normal ? non-street fighter look. Anyone of you guys want a side job? :D

What futant said. If you make it MINT again and use used parts it will cost $1500 give or take. You can get a mint 954 for 4K, they don't have great resale.
954s weren't considered fast when compared to the R1 and gsxr 1K of the day, but IMO, their chassis geometry and fast revving motor makes them more fun to ride and feel faster. I really like the look of the super steep tail section too.
A lot of stunted out bikes are bringing $3500, I wouldn't pay that, but many do. $2500 is about right.

any motorcylce that has spent time on the rear wheel has had the oil pickup out of the oil for the same amount of time..........

Most people install an aftermarket pickup, or overfill their case slightly to compensate. ;)

most of the ones i've seen stunt can't adjust their own valves let alone take an oil pan off and manage to get the pressure regulator where it belongs........

Stuntex makes pickups for various bikes.
Most people just fill oil up to the top of the glass.
I've done the valves on my 600RR. It was a pita. :o

So when that dude rode a 30+ mile wheelie on a stock 954 he was running with no oil for 30 miles? He must use Prolong or some shit!
