So today I went riding and a guy next to me told me i was shifting wrong or something like that he said i didnt need to pull the clutch lever in when shifting up that i only needed to pull it in when down shifting so whats the right way?
Ive only been riding my bike for about 3 months now never ridden before so would you think i have caused any damage?

I dont think so..but you DONT have to pull the clutch while upshifting..only downshifting. But hey, its your bike. ;)

i've also heard this because bikes have sequential transmissions but I also heard it should only be done at high rpms while racing, I personally dont do it either
I upshift all the time w/o using my clutch but i do it immediately after i let go of the gas. Yeah, but ALWAYS use the clutch when downshifting.

you can do either if you know how to work the throttle...

if you know you bike you can upshift w/o clutch. clutch is a must when downshifting. i tried upshifting w/o the clutch once oopsss. didnt hit the right rpm. it like a car upshifting
