How to find a sport bike in Dallas

what is the easiest way i can find a used bike in Dallas?

I have tried Craigslist and almost everyone i have contacted wants a down payment before even seeing the bike. I have looked on Cycle Trader and they didnt have anything in my price range.

I am looking for a Yamaha R6 or R1, or a GSXR 600 or 1000 with no dents in the tank or cracks in the farings. I am looking in the price range of 3000 to 4000

I need to find one ASAP...

It's because of your price range. Everything that is late model advertised at a price like that is a scam. Try calling people in the 6000-9000 range, I bet none of them ask for a paypal down payment ;)

For 3-4K private party you're looking at 99-02 R6s and maybe 01-03 GSXR 600s. I'm not going to say you won't find a 2001 gsxr 1K for $4500 or a mint 98-01 R1 for that price, but if you do, it won't be for sale for long. Tryring to find bikes that old in mint condition for that price isn't easy.

929s have dick for resale, you could probably get one of those in that condition for that price. They bring less and are harder to move than F4i's.

there are a bunch of bike scams going on now on craigslist. I've got buddy thats looking and they are all " I'm in the UK....send the money here and i'll tell you where the bike is" type stuff.
