Boozefest this Saturday!!!! This place just opened up, it used to be the old Hoffbrau Brewery in Addison. I have part of the outside deck reserved at 8PM, so everyone feel free to come out. As of now they said 21+, but I'll call later to see if they can work something out.
Why: I'm getting older, quasi birthday celebration. Do we really need a reason to drink?
Where:Duke's Roadhouse: 4180 Beltline Road, Addison, TX 75001. SW corner of Midway/Beltline in Addison. 972-503-2337.
When: Saturday, April 20th 8PM.

It's actually on Sunday. They just opened up last nite and it's a pretty groovy lil place. It's like Sam's Boat in Houston if you've ever been there. Big deck out front and the weather should be decent!!!

Sam's Boat? Is that one that's right by the water? I remember going to some restaurant that I thought had a huge wall blocking the view of the water. Turned out to be a huge tanker or something parked next to the building :eek:

heh. Sam's Boat was a bar in Houston on Richmond where all the clubs are. Jose, you might be thinking of a place in Kemah or something. The Houston Ship Channel goes right behind alot of those places. Strange.. eating dinner and a huge tanker comes floating by. haha.

Ya, Houston Ship Channel. Wish I could remember the name of that restaurant but I was there for a wedding reception and was pretty drunk and thought I was seeing things until someone pointed out that there was a huge ship parked next to the place LOL :D

I'm gonna try and call the night Mgr tonight to see what we can do. Day mgr said b/c they're just opening they're trying to do 21+ and that there might be a door man. There's also a side entrance so I dunno if they'll card or not. I'll see what I can do tonite.. see if we can accomodate Joel etc.

What is this place like? Restaurant? Bar? Club? All? Busy? Yuppie? Gimme some scoop please. :)
I'm thinking it's like everything. There's an indoor seating area, but I have a part of the outdoor deck. There's tables with umbrellas out there that face Beltline. Their website is still under construction but a early version of the menu is at http://www.dukesoriginalroadhouse.com/ . Prices aren't that bad either... usual restaraunt prices (the prices are handwritten on the menus, even though they're not listed on the website). I was there opening night on Monday and saw pretty much every kind of person there. It's just another restaraunt/bar thing in Addison. I had a good time when I went.... and liked the layout. Come on out!

I hate to be a pain, but I need to know if it's 21 and up for sure before deciding. I already made plans with Joel and a couple others. So if he can't go then I can't go. I'd kinda like to do a little more of the "club" scene than a restaurant atmosphere this wkend. Kinda burned out on the whole looooong table group meal gig. :p Let me know, I'd like to see ya on your B.Day tool.
The outside deck has a bunch of small tables... so I don't think it'd be like the usual long table kind of gig where you can only talk to the people around you. I did in fact talk to the night manager Michael who did confirm that under 21 are ok. I'll be sure to get there at 8 or a little before. You should be able to see us out on the deck... not hard to find at all as it's right out front!
