dirtbike helmet or the traditional sportbike helmet? why? are dirtbike helmets manufactured to eat pavement like a streetbike helmet is? or will it crack under the pressure?

I wouldnt feel safe on pavement with a dirtbike helmet. Obviously it offers protection but not that of a full face street helmet

i have a drz an i think a dirt helmet would rip my neck off at 80mph, i just use my streetbike helmet....its the same pavement just higher off the ground.

there are some dual-sport helmets out there that look like dirt bike helmets, but have a full shield. and as long as they are dot & snell approved they should be good.
