i think its safe to say i grossly underestimated how much time my garage un-conversion will take to finish, and how much trash will pile up, but i'm slowly picking away at it. hopefully i'll be able to get it somewhat finished before it gets too hot outside. :o i need me a garage dammit!

what exactly are your plans?

what exactly are your plans?

basically turning an enclosed garage back into a regular garage again. removing 1 exterior wall where the garage door used to be, 1 full interior wall, 2 huge closets, the entire 19x26 subfloor over the concrete, moving a gas line, moving 2 water lines, deleting a bunch of un-needed lights and outlets, closing off a doorway, removing an old ugly carport, etc.

it'll keep me busy for quite a while.

Damn that's pretty serious for a garage.
When I moved in to my house they had a fully built room in half the garage.
I tore it down. It looked nice too...
That was like nothing compared to this!

got the interior wall down, the doorway sealed up, and about 1/3 of the floor ripped out. lots of work still to do, but it's actually kind of fun now that i can see some progress.

I don't exactly understand what I'm looking at.

Just from the pics, the main garage floor is lower than the main floor in the house so someone build a subfloor to level it to main house floor and they are pulling the subfloor out. I could be wrong just going by the pics

From a construction standpoint, it looks like the builder did a pretty good job. A lot of home owners wouldn't even bother putting in a raised floor. Pretty good work IMO.

However that wood paneling tells me that they had no taste whatsoever :p
