FATHERFORD

Well I had Friday-Sunday off this weekend and parents wanted to come into town. I had planned on going to FFW, but that fell through when my gate fell off
My fence is nearly 12 years old, and it's showing major signs of rotting away. It was also installed "unprofessionally" IMO due to it looking like the ocean following the ground.
Hard to tell in this picture, but you can see how the ground is much higher on the left side. Never took a full shot of the fence.

Well I decided Friday that it would be a good time to go ahead and put in one 6' gate for future plans of having a 12' opening..
1st trip to home depot:
I went and bought a gate kit from home depot for $45. This is a light metal frame setup that will prevent sagging from standard all wood gates. They weigh MUCH less.

I also bought a 8' 4x4 and quickcrete along with other assorted materials for fence making. Along with some 6' picket fences and 2x4's.

Put my old man to work.

Saturday morning:
Well after taking down the middle post, I realized I had a 9'10 Opening. That's plenty big to get a car or a dove tail trailer back there for parking purposes.
