I figured this was the most fitting sub forum to ask this question. My girl and I are looking to rent a house or condo/townhome in the plano/carrolton/north dallas/lewisville area and I'm not really having much luck finding websites for rental properties. The most helpful I've found so far being craigslist?!? I know theres got to be a better way to do this! If anyone knows someone to get in contact with to help out (maybe a rental realtor?) or a website, I'd greatly appreciate the info. We've lived in the area for 4 yrs now, and our apt lease is up in June. Really wanting something 2 bedroom with attached garage (not like my puny apt garage).

im not really sure what to expect? it would depend on if it was townhouse/condo style or if it was an actual house, ya know? Also i would be factoring in the size of the garage to make my final judgement. I'm paying over 850 for my 1 bedroom apt plus detached garage, and will be getting a roommate to fill the second room, coupled with what few rentals i've seen; im hoping to stay under 1300, but that number isnt static since i dont know what to expect. and of course the area too, im willing to pay much more to stay close to the zipcode i live in now (intersection of PGB/tollway) and lewisville then i would be in carrollton or north plano.

Might be putting my place up in Flower Mound for rent, it'll be in the ~1500 range though, not sure if that will work for you. Feel free to ask any questions.

~1900SF 2 story, 1/3 acre, quiet large corner interior lot, excellent neighbors, many upgrades in house (inside and out), will do a carpet job on move in throughout house, many more pluses and great location for airport access and commute to either Dallas or Ft Worth. You will love the neighborhood, walking distance to FM elementary if you have young ones. Also 1.3 mile from massive 407/2499 new retail hub, much of which is brand new.

You mentioned garage. I have an over-sized 2 car garage, with additional step-up work area. In addition, I had an additional slab installed that joins the already massive flat driveway (now 3-car wide, and 70' long). There is also a shed on site alongside the garage to keep everything nice and tidy in the most important room in the house (garage) ;)

Also, I have a digitally controlled and programmable 6 zone irrigation system as well, so grass/yard/landscape watering is super convenient.

Possibly and maybe even a career relocate. Lots of variables in the pipeline right now, so it doesn't hurt to advertise the house.

I freaking love this place and I've done nothing but improve it since 2004. its 10x or more the house now than when I bought it. Hope new living arrangements are a step up, I'll miss living here for lots of reasons :(
