What happened is, I got banned from anoher enthusiast site maybe 3 years ago? I keep trying to contact a mod on the site so that I can see about being re-instated but get no responses. The ban was only supposed to be for 2 months. Is there a way I can change my IP address so that I can just start a new log in fresh and new without a trace to my old account?

Chances are, if it was 3 years ago your IP Address has changed several times already. Unless of course you're....

1. Paying for a static IP address.
2. Doing all this from a business environment that has static IP addresses.

Yeah it would be from a business environ. Is it possible to still change it? Oh, how would I go about the proxy server route too?

Register a new account just to see if your ip is the problem, or if your name is.

 My IP was. It keeps re-banning me automatically.

If they don't want you there, why fight it? ;p

If you're doing it from a work location, I'd let the IP change portion go. Proxy is the best bet, but I don't like recommending that shit. There are plenty of resources out there for ya to figure it out.
