i have VERY minimal expierence with web design. I created a 50 page website once about 5 years ago with FrontPage. I did it all by design and not code. it actually didnt turn out too bad, but really I had no idea what I was doing. Basically Im doing the same thing now.

My wife has decided to start keeping kids at home. Im going to make her a simple website for her childcare. I found a template online and bought it for $50. but this time I got CS3 Dreamweaver, PS, etc from my work to use.

Here is my question (first one so far). The template is supposed to look like this jpg I attached. But I am going to change it all up with our information of course. When open the idex file, alot of the next is missing, like the ones in the tabs at the top, under the bear, etc...

Are these supposed to be images instead of text? Guess I am on my own to create these images?

They did give the 'colored boxes' that I can bring into PS to edit. but when I try and place text on top of the box, it looks like ass. Its REALLY distorted.

Any help I can get is much appreciated. Like I said, Im an Adobe newbie. Iv been using Corel Draw for about 10 years, but trying to learn this is all new to me.

try and clear it up a bit

basically all the text is there and I can change that. And I can change the images. But all the text that is bold and underlined and the ones in the top tabs are not there. There is however a jpg image the size of what the text should be. I can delete this colored box and it doesn't look different. Im assuming I am to use this box for something...

sorry i must sound like a complete moron. But we gotta start somewhere right. Thought buying the template would help me, but doesn't look like it. lol

Try the How design forums and see if the people there can help. There should be a forum for web design questions.
