I got some .25 ACP loaded up and took it out to the field to see what's up. I loaded the magazine, chambered the first round, aimed, pulled the trigger, and...CLICK. Broken firing pin. :(

:DLOLz, my 10mms are quality weapons chambered for a quality cartridge. John Browning, for all the good he did, fucked up big time when he thought the .25 ACP would be a good idea.

On the positive side of things, I tested out my new Lee AutoPrime II (press-mounted primer), and it beats the shit out of the hand primers.

What powder/grain did you use?

I wonder if the firing pin is the cheapest part to break.

Like having a cheap driveshaft to save the engine/tranny/rear end.

I use the press-mounted primer more often. But I am faster with the Lee hand prime, as the shellholder in the press is lucy-goosy. Not sure why, it has the pin in it.

Hope you are using HAMMR rest or Ransom Rest, long string, and large oak.

I had a double charge go off in my face once. Not fun.

I had a double charge go off in my face once. Not fun.LOLz, 1.2 - 1.6 grains of Unique, and there aren't any double charges in there.
