He's keeping the last 10k or so rounds of x39 to burn up a bunch of post samples before his license lapses and destroys them.

They are in Texas so you have to pay tax (6 or 6 1/2%) but they have the best selection of any site I have found. Also have cheap shipping.

Yeah I reload, but I also buy monarch ammo on the side for my CETME. I'm looking for a decent unit price on .308 - 10k rounds @ $1200 would be around what I'm looking for.

What do you guys run thru your AR? I am in process of building my SBR with a supressor. Does the steel cased Wolf stuff work ok, or do you prefer something like the brass cased surplus in the post above?

you know, the monarch (from acadamy) in the green box is good ammo, it's brass. The steel cased Wolf has jammed before on me, a few times actually, and thats from a freshly cleaned colt, both stovepipes. Now, I've always purchased wolf ammo for my russian shit, but oddly enough on this same outing, I had a jam in an SKS, AND in an AK47 (!) with only Wolf ammo, I've never seen that in and barnaul or monarch. The monarch steel cased ammo has a slick coating of some kind, and out of 1000 rounds never had an issue... and the monarch is cheaper than the wolf.. so if you're going to plink some cheap ammo, stop by academy and get the the monarch over the wolf.

Wideners has wolf for 3 something a box. I have shot thousands of rounds of Wolf and never had a problem with any of it. Wolf is poly coated now, they used to use laquor but that was years ago they stopped that. Like I said, shot thousands of rounds without issue.

David, if the ammo deal comes through and you need someone else to join in please let me know. I am always looking for 5.56.
