There is a very short list of US presidents that never served in the military:
John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, FDR and Slick Willie.

John Adams gets a pass, he was the second president and did a lot of the leg work to gain our independence. Other than him FDR was the only president worth a damn on the list. He tried to enlist but contracted measles, then later he tried to resign from his cabinet position and join the navy but wasn't allowed to by the president.

Kerry got his three "band-aid purple hearts", then faked throwing his medals away for publicity. You equate these two because they both served? I'm pretty sure John Kerry fought. I think you took his statements of the things some American soldiers were doing, and transposing it to him, to make him sound like a bad person. Example:
