Doing great, but I think I definitely took WHEY too much WHEY last night!
My fellow co-workers around me are suffering!!!
Oh yea, I already went through two of them buckets I got from you already.
Those knee sleeves work REAL good with the neoprene sleeves underneath.
My knees felt well supported on Saturday(I would venture to say better than my cheap wraps).

Eh, I'm not sure what my deal is, but I'm still stuck in the high 230's. I'd rather be 30+ lbs down by now, but that's ok. At this point, I've made more than diet/workout progress. I've made a lifestyle change, and I can't bitch about that. I'll meet my ultimate goals, whether it's in the context of this contest or not, and that's what's important.
Is that little rant loser speak? lol, I dunno. I'm just havin' a hard time feeling bad about myself, and that can only be good. :)

I had a bittersweet moment over the weekend, I stepped on the scale and hit 198. :) :( I’m glad to be losing weight, but not so much to be under 200, with more to go. I’ll probably maintain 190-195 through the summer, and try to get back up to a lean 200 over next winter. I’m just glad to be over getting sick, and back into the routine. I should be good to go for vacation in May.

Not much of an update from me.
I feel like I've made some great progress in my lifts and have gained some definition in my arms and legs but overall... I'm not going to win the competition.
I've gone from not squatting in 3+ years to doing 315x4.
Up to 85x12 on incline DB
I don't have my log book here with me and I don't remember other numbers off the top of my head but I feel much stronger than I have in a long time... but won't lie, I've done minimal cardio. I have a ton of motivation to lift, but zero when it comes to running. :(
This weekend I kind of forced myself back into it... we'll see how it goes. Hopefully at least a little progress shows in my final pics in a few weeks :(

Not quite sure why but my weight seems to be going up and down from week to week. The exercise has stayed the same along with the diet so I'm not sure what the fluctuation is from.

I'm down nearly 15lbs but I can't tell any difference. Maybe I can get rid of another 10 lbs by the end of this thing and see some progress in my before and after pictures.

You will see some good progress with 25lbs.
You guys will have to tough it out for 3 weeks to be the DFWStangs champ!

I am not playing, but I dropped 10 lbs in 3 weeks. First time below 250 on a scale in 10 years. I also noticed by 38 jeans were falling off of me this weekend.

Im still just hovering under 230. I have been super busy with school, and have not had much time to do much. Hopefully Ill be able to get in some good cardio this week and the next. I have my second tri to do in two weeks.

I haven't hit it nearly as hard as i should have if I was hoping to win. Haven't lost any but I've put some on. Hopefully muscle. I'm seeing more definition than I ever have and I'm still a respectable 6'1"@185-190. I'm gonna really dig my heels in these last few weeks to see what I can accomplish.

nice work guys, im in it with you. I've cracked down my diet for the first time ever and im doing cardio now.
I cut all carbs for the next 10 days. The contest im in is over in 10 days. In the last 2 days i've only had a sweet potatoe for carbs. :(
I also started the ALRI TriLean kit yesterday and i'll be on it for the next 10 days.

90x10 today.
But I haven't lost much weight. Woops.
I hit the 120's for three sets of 15 last night after hitting the 120's on flat.
For the first time ever, I was actually glad I had a partner to workout with.
I'm a wuss whenever it comes to flipping the big weights up and always get someone to help.
I wish 24 hr had heavier dumb bells though!
I think we are gonna switch over to barbell bench next week.
I hate it because it makes me feel too much like a powerlifter!

Weighed in at 137 at the gym yesterday which means I'm down 8 pounds. I could be doing a lot better if I was working harder but I'm happy to have lost weight nonetheless. I'm drinking black coffee as I type this and then going to have a yogurt for breakfast. I could be doing better... but I could be doing MUCH worse. :o

Congrats on your weight loss and progression.
But my curiosity intrigues me... why try if you aren't going to give it your 100% efforts?
Just curious as to what/how some people think...
(not trying to pick on you or anything)

I'm lazy and unmotivated. I haven't always been this way... and the reasons why I am now are excuses. :o I have no explanation other than my self confidence took a shot to the heart when I was in the best shape of my life and for some reason I can't seem to get it back. I'm working on it though. :o

Toby Keith said it best, “I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.”
I hear ya loud and clear, having had a few injuries, illnesses, etc. I’ve given up on being the biggest and baddest MFer in the gym, and my ego has suffered. It’s all about putting what you do have into perspective. You don’t have to be a 21 year old hard body to be fit, active, and healthy. Do the best that you can, and don’t allow what you’re not to effect what you can become. I may never step on stage at a pro BB competition, but I’m not giving up because of it. I’m down 20lbs+, my diet is in check, my cardio is getting better, and I am in the best over-all shape I have been in my life, and still getting better, with a little bit of wisdom that allows me to enjoy it more. Getting old aint so bad ;)

Scored a 290 on my PT test today. Best I have ever done by about 21 points, but I can't say my body is changing how it looks too much.

just out of curiousity, why are you completely cutting out carbs? carbs arent bad for you whatsoever, even when leaning down, just dont go crazy with them. cycle your carb intake from day to day. no carbs=no energy
you seem to know your stuff from what i have read in this forum but the carb cutting has me a bit confused

Just a guess, but probably to get his body into ketosis so it can burn the extra fat in a fast manner since his competition ends in 10 days. It's not a bad idea for short term weight loss.

Im cutting for my competition that ends in a few days now, for a magazine, $$$, and supps. Im on day 4 with no carbs and have a few more to go. Well, only what's in green beans, Broccolli, and asparagus. Thats it.
Yeah, i have no energy at all and feel like crap but im getting shreaded. Im not trying to just get lean, im trying to look like im about to walk on stage for a show.

Yeah, it's pretty shitty. Im about take my lean dreams and hit the sack.
Im only about 9% right now but i'd like to get around 7% in the next few days.
Im also doing cardio for the first time in 7 years. haha 45min in the morning and 30min at night after my lifts.

I'm getting minimal carbs from plain oatmeal and sweet potatoes (not counting weeknd cheat meals) so I'm okay during the day, but I usually fall flat on my face about 20 minutes into my workouts. There's no way I could sustain any lower level of sustenance without some sort of monetary or magazine coverage reward like what you're going after. I'm thinkin' that by next summer I'll have enough lean mass and low enough bodyfat to do something like that, but for now I'll take the slow road to single digit bodyfat, and concede defeat in our little "gentleman's bet." I'll get there eventually, I'm just not gonna sacrifice my sanity in the process. ;)

Well I have noticed a big differance in how I look. Just not so much in my luv handles. I changed my goals after this started, when I decided I have to much shit going on and dont feel like doing the hardcore diet right now. I eat better and do my supplements and move the weights.

Making the proper dietary choices has nothing to do with being busy or stressed, you are simply giving yourself justification to fail. If you have time to eat, you have time to eat right.
