water is leaking somewhere in the window then running down the side of the wall. i just noticed it and put some towels up for right now. what do i need to look for tomorrow when the rain stops? this is the first time its happened so im wondering if a piece of hail may have hit the window or something and put a crack in it a bit ago. if there is no crack then what do i need to look for? maybe caulking around it or something? thanks.

There is no such thing as a "water-proof" window....
Seriously, if there is enough wind...causing horizontal rain...windows can leak. Check to make sure the exterior caulking is still in tact.
Check for cracks.

That's about all you can do.
