Its about damn time. I drive by that track almost everyday. I have seen the concrete signs out there for what seems like 4 months. I figure another 4 months before they start pouring it now.!

He can be quite stubborn at times but all in all hes a decent guy, sammy mathis former director at northstar the last time larry croft was there should be the track director out there if the original plans are still in place.

With a bunch of drag strips announcing indefinite closures lately, I wonder how long this one will make it? I'd rather run a 1/8 anyways, so the only reason for me to go there is to watch. We'll see soon I guess.

They are still trying to decide what to do the with the concrete. Apparently the concrete company screwed up when they poured the slab earlier in the year. If they decide to redo the track, I was told it would be sometime around March before they would open. They have waited this long they might as well go ahead and do it right.

Just because it's a 1/4 doesn't mean you can't run 1/8th mile.

I heard the same thing but shit or get off the pot is the way I look at it. Fix it- open it -make some money- then finish it.

I'm sure I'd get the boot anyways, but I suppose you're right. I'd be passing by two other tracks to get there so...

I'm black, love drag racing, and go to Yellobelly (spelled correctly! Check the sign if you don't believe me)
Is there a problem?http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif

Did that post offend you? I made a reference to what a shithole George Ray's track is and how it doesn't have any rules. ...........i.e. The same as YellaBelly. As most people on here know YellerBelly is a shithole and has been for a # of years. A bunch of yelling ass people smoking weed and drinking beer while somehow managing to either win or lose money for the following weeks groceries .......then you have to damn near run over 200 people just to get into the burnout box. Yep it's a shithole.
To answer your question: I don't know...........Why would I have a problem? I don't go there..the last time I did I went to get a drink from a Roach coach and when I got back to my car the steering column was busted. Fuck that place. It's not civilized.
