expires 5/18 and I was worried I wouldn't have time to renew it and have to take the full course all over again. Called GunsafeTX today in Ft. Worth and I made a private class appointment for Monday. The guy told me he will handle everything. I have even had an address change since getting my original. This guy said no problem as long as I have not informed the DPS. Class takes 1 hour and costs $175. It will be nice not have to do this again for a while.

If you change your drivers license and not your chl, the DPS will void your chl after 30 days or so.. If I recall.
Also 1 hour class isn't legal, it should take like 4 hours.

I hope you are incorrect about the address change. If not, I need to get my deposit back. The short class is legal if it's private 1 on 1. He told me it is a 2 hour class but usually wraps up in 60-90 minutes.

Thank you sir. 45 is a big number though. Probably equal to the pounds I have gained and the hairs on my head and the seconds it takes me to screw :D

Just checked on the address change. Apparently, your licence cannot be revolked without due process. The DPS would half to notify me by mail with a hearing date. They didn't. I do appreciate the heads up though. I'm still concerned that you are correct and they just messed up. I'll find out soon enough.

They will revoke your license if you do not change your address on it.
