I am trying to figure out if this HP 2207 (not to be confused with the HP 2207h) has the glossy finish on the screen. Just to clarify, i am talking about the screen itself, the actual viewable area not the base or anything. I prefer gloss over matte because the colors seems to be more vibrant. Just my opinion. I would really prefer a Samsung monitor instead but i dont think that there are many in that price range. I am trying to stay somewhere in the $250 area. Anyway, here is the the link:

I've got the H version and it's glossy. Pretty sure the only difference is that mine has an HDMI port.

Do you like it? Have you played any newer games on it?

Yeah, I just wish it wasn't glossy sometimes:) I don't really use this PC for gaming since I've got a PS3 and a 40" LCD.

I stay away from any screens with "gloss" to them, unless you are in a completely dark room you'll get glare from the "gloss" and that's just annoying.

All i could think of after all the "gloss" talk was this.
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VNDesmoUwf8&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VNDesmoUwf8&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

I have that exact monitor. They did sell it at Circut City if you want to see it in person. I bought it because it was Gloss. I think it makes for a better picture. Like your looking through a window more then a screen
