MSMA, unless you are wanting to save money or get a new credit card?

LOL, you can get it at Home Depot, but wait till it warms up to use it, it is not effective at these cool temps. I pulled a shit load of it out today and last weekend. It actually comes up pretty easy

I picked up a pump sprayer and spectracide concentrate to spray tomorrow. At least it tells me to expect my bermuda to yellow so I won't think I killed my lawn.

the spectracide i put down comes in a grey jug that has a blue label that connects to your hose...i bought it at lowes..was hanging out by the cash register in the flower/grass dept...and in 1 day, it has killed ALL weeds..i was like  this evening while watering our flowers...good stuff for sure!

I've always used the premixed gallon jugs of weedstop poured into a regular handheld sprayer. Seems to get rid of most broadleaf weeds, but not all grassy ones. For the grassy ones you need msma, but it is not warm enough to put down msma yet.

Those of you with dogs.... do you use anything on your backyards? I actually pulled 3 commercial bags full of weeds from the back yard over the weekend. I was on a mission. I am not sure what they are... they are low and fan out from a central root chocking out the grass. If you start at the edge and pull them up on one side till you get to the root, then the entire patch comes right up. Those freak bags were so heavy!!!

I just finished using the concentrate and hand sprayer on our front and back yard. I'll wait and see what it looks like on Weds, then mow again and bag the clippings and lay down the scotts turfbuilder w/weedcontrol. Hope to have my lawn in check this summer so I can checkerboard cut it.

I have been researching weeds and cannot find the one that has taken over our yard as well as my parents. I have learned some terms though. It grows into a matt over the existing grass and has a singular root which makes it fun to rip out of the ground.

We had some henbit in the front yard this year.. and yes, its been out of control the neighborhood as a whole. The weed I am talking about closely resembles the day flower I guess. It grows in HUGE patches but there is a single shallow root. They are actually fun to pull up. I will have to take a pic as suggested. Too bad I didnt think of that over the weekend as I filled over 3 trash bags with them! I am also excavating some vines along our fence. One seems like more of a weed and is chocking out the english Ivy that I really like. Our neighborhood for the most part consists of a lot of older people with gorgeous lawns. We have to compete! Mostly because our house was such a shit hole when we bought it, people were stopping by to thank us when we started doing yard work on it!

+1.

Green Light makes several specific weed killers and MSMA kills a lot of broadleaf stuff.

Other posts on here state MSMA needs to work in warm temperature for best effectiveness.

Henbit is pretty easy to pull out by hand. Johnson grass and Dallis Grass tears up the yard.

Good luck with clover.
