Double tap 9mm +P ammo is awesome and packs a lot of punch. It has more ft lbs of energy than most 45acp ammo and with super high velocity. A 9mm is a lot more powerful than people give it credit for.By carrying a 9 its Half the weight of a 1911 45 and double the ammo over a 1911 in most cases.

Here are the numbers of Double Tap

Ballistics : 115gr @ 1415fps / 511ft. lbs. from a G17.
Glock 19 velocity - 1395fps


Ballistics : 124gr @ 1310fps / 473ft. lbs. from a G17.
124 @ 1295fps / 462 ft. lbs. from a G19


Ballistics : 147gr @ 1135fps / 421ft. lbs. from a G17.
Glock 19 velocity - 1120fps.

Not bad, but I'll take my 155 grain 10mm XTPs @ 1,450 fps (723 fpe) out of my Glock 29, or 230 grain .45 Super XTPs @ 1,050 fps (560 fpe) out of my Glock 21 or Springfield 1911.
