FMJBT BT being boat tail, WTF is it?

FMJ = full metal jacket
BT = boat tail, describes the shape of the bottom of the bullet. The length of the bullet doesn't meet the bottom at 90 degrees. i.e. The bottom is smaller diameter than the body. Improves the aerodynamics of the bullet.

Most I have seen are a spitzer design.
