I need to add a Seperate Circuit or 2 for my compture room. It is on the same power breaker as my 2 other bedrooms and it seems as of recently to be to much load.

what kinda cost am i looking at to put 2 breakers, 2 runs to 2 sets of plugs?

is there anyone on the board who can help? or do i need a licensed electrician?

Hey I just did this for the first time the other day and it was very simple. The only part that gave me a hard time was trying to push the new wire up through the hole in the breaker box(there were like 1k other wires up there) If you didn't live so freaking far I would come and help you out. Also, the crawling around on the beams can get old.

does the panel back up to the room? if so, that's a cinch. all you need is some 12/2, a couple of 20/1 breakers, a couple of "old work" plastic cut-in boxes, receptacles, and plates. when you wire it up, just shut off your main breaker, and it will shut off the entire bus below it, so you won't have to worry about getting shocked. when you open the panel, it will be obvious where the wires land...white wire goes to the neutral bar (where the other white wires are attached), the ground wire goes to the ground bar where the rest of the ground wires (bare copper wires) are attached, and the black wires will go to the breakers. attach the wires to the breakers last and before you snap the breakers into the bus and leave the breakers in the off position. it's best to install the outlets and get them 100% wired and plated before doing the work in the panel. once the breaker is in place and everything is complete, turn the main breaker back on, then turn the new breakers on...you're done.

this is how the receptacles wire:

looking at the receptacle, there are two vertical slots and one small circle slot below...the small circle slot is the ground (bare wire)...the larger vertical slot is the neutral (white wire) and the shorter vertical slot is the hot (black wire)

when cutting in the boxes, you'll want to be where the rest of your plugs are, which is ~15" to center...just put the box against the wall where you want to cut it in (make sure that there isn't a stud there), then draw a line around the box and cut out the hole. after you cut the hole and have the wire in the box, just slide the box in and tighten the screws, so the box clamps to the sheetrock.

nothin' to it.:)
