I hope to start a small to medium sized remodel at our house. Basicly I want to close in our 2 car garage on one side of our house and build a new 3 car on the opposite side and add a new driveway to the street.
I have in my head pretty much what I want to do but I need to start talking to people about bids.
Anyone have personal experience with someone you would use again? PM if needed.
Thanks

Before you get bids, go to an architect and draw up what you want/need. Don't let someone "open-end" you on a price. Once you have the exact plan, and only then, start getting quotes. HOLD THEM TO IT. It's very important that you are comfortable with who you use, and check them out to the NTH degree. I build custom homes, but do not do remodeling, but the same rules apply. Careful planning and budgeting are the keys to being happy with what you get. It's never as "easy" as someone tells you, and quietly give yourself a 10% cushion on whatever someone quotes you.
