Don't forget about the recoil spring under the spool. It's a pain to get wound back up.
I dunno how well they do at repair, but Ed's Lawn Equipment on Midway did me right. I have a 1 yr old Craftsman mower & the mulch door came broken from the previous owner. They ordered the part yesterday during lunch and it was here by 3pm today.

They didn't... the mulcher door came as an assembly. The actual door attaches via a spring loaded guide rod to a plastic piece bolted to the mower. I got the mower from a friend minus the door and guide rod. I basically had to rethread the guide rod and spring through the holes on the mulcher door, what a PITA. Cost for the assembly was $22.xx.
