Are these company's that come out and spray you're lawn for you worth it? I had True Green come out and said it would cost $130 per treatment and my lawn would need 8 treatments a year.

depends ALOT on the guy applying and working on your lawn, we take care of most of our customers lawns but have seen some of the work and for the most part they seem to be worth it. as we all charge about the same, and as with everything if your lawn is in bad shape give them a chance to make things work... atleast a year.

You're getting raped on price for what they actually do (or lack thereof). See the other thread for real world results.

Do it yourself. My brother had Chem lawn and on day we were drinking out back in garage, and he went to the front of the house and found a sticker on door that said they had been there an treated the whole yard. We never saw the guy ...I guess he tried to pull a fast one..

I don't mind getting out and spreading weed/feed and stuff but I did that last year and my lawn didn't look any different.

$130 is rediculous. I pay $38 6 to 8 times per year. Find a family owned smaller company. I use one called "Green Machine" and they have done a good job on my lawn.

I had a guy from tru-green call me 37 times in 7 days b/c I said that I was unsure about signing up, and would get back with them. Well he never gave me the chance to decide. I finally let him have it. What are they doing to your lawn that you can't do?

True Green Chem lawn sucks.
I had them come out last year in the spring on a special, they sprayed front and back for like 30 bucks, 1 week later couldnt tell they had been there so I called and they came back and sprayed again, this time after a few days the grass turned yellow. Then a few days later I came home and found all there clumps of dirt and holes through out my yard, they came by and airiated the yard and put a bill on the door for over 100.00 without even asking. I told them to stick it!

yeah, they tried to get me to do that shit too, I canceled them after repeated efforts on their part to screw me with that service. I will say, when they treated the grass, it was green, but a lot of weeds in some areas still were growing. I got rid of them, and the weeds!

True Green Chem lawn sucks.
I fired them two years ago. My yard looked like crap with nice burned up areas and weeds. Every year they kept trying to raise the prices. I'm still getting "come back" letters from them.

I use a company called Gro Green. They come 4 times a year at $35 per application. Works great and my yard looks healthy. I have a corner lot, too, so there's a lot of yard to treat.

I had a $1500 Southern Magnolia, they came out for a "try it" special and 2 weeks later my tree was dead and my yard was like Chore Boy scrubbing pads.

iv personally used them off and on for past 5 years. personally speaking, it is NOT worth it. everytime they come out, i have to have them come out a second time. this last time i was actually home and watched the guy do it. i had thought maybe my guy wasnt doing his job right or something. he was, just their stuff doesnt work or something. i get alot better results with scotts turf builder
