Obama caught in lie--
I'm Barack Obama. I don't take money from oil companies or Washington lobbyists, and I won't let them block change anymore. They'll pay a penalty on windfall profits. We'll invest in alternative energy, create jobs and free ourselves from foreign oil.

It's true that Obama doesn't take money directly from oil companies, but then, no presidential, House or Senate candidate does. They can't: Corporations have been prohibited from contributing directly to federal candidates since the Tillman Act became law in 1907.

Obama has, however, accepted more than $213,000 in contributions from individuals who work for, or whose spouses work for, companies in the oil and gas industry, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That's not as much as Sen. Hillary Clinton, who has received more than $306,000 in donations from people tied to the industry

Nothing can change as long as a career politician is in that office. Colin Powell for president in '08.

Colin Powell has some skeletons in the closet he wishes to remain there. (Mostly, his wife's. ) Not only that, he's pro choice, and pro quotas....more left than McCain. Thanks, but no thanks.

Not I. I have real issues with his stance on abortion, affirmative action and quotas, to name a few.

Condi, OTOH.......

Abortion?
Someone's political ability resides in their opinion on abortion? Wow.

Condi  WTF has she done to benefit anyone? All I've ever seen her do was say "yes mr president"..."the president is right".... Lets see lots of cutting and pasting now on how tough on the border she is, and what a weak military man Colin Powell is from your favorite "spin it for me" website.

For a conservative it does. I have never seen a liberal who is anti-abortion, have you?

I'm so conservative that on top of being against government handouts, I'm all for getting rid of future handout takers before they're even born!

I agree... sometimes abortion is a good thing... I'm thinking forced sterilization might work even better... how bad do you want that welfare check??
