How the hell do you get rid of MOLES?!

Yes, as lame as it sounds, I have MOLES in my yard, and I don't want them to get to the garden. They are smart little bastards, and I can't ever seen to locate where they come from. Last night I went out with a silenced P22 and shot one, but that's certainly not the answer. Anyone ever delt with this problem before?

My dog keeps them in check by digging them up in the backyard, but my front yard is turning into a breeding ground for those little bastards.
Unfortunately I don't think there is any easy way to get rid of them.

Yeah, that sucks. I'm going to hook up my blower rod to my acetylene tank and fill his hole with gas and oxygen and blow that shit up.

My nephew had a ton of them in east Texas, and he stuck water hoses in the holes, and they eventually came up for air, then...BAM! :cool:

we have cats as well at the front ranch house and they do work, no moles at front house, however on the golf course i dont have the same luxury, but you can buy a product at lesco call talprid it looks like an earthworm. they come in a 10 pack i believe. best product available.

I had this problem as well and got some stuff that hooks to the water hose like the weed killers . I sprayed it on the affected area's and the mole problem went away .

actually they do make "and i have one" a propane bottle attached to a hose with a wand on the end with a cup on the end and an ignitor button, push cup into tunnel pull trigger to let gas in after as much time as you feel necessary, pull the trigger to ignite and boom, collapses tunnel.........i was chicken and so was everyone else after i held the gas button for about 3 minutes :D

well, first try I got a poof and fire out 3 holes, the second time I got a loud snap and dirt raining down. I went from hole to hole for about 15 minutes leaving death and smoldering destruction in my wake. Then I sat down in a lawn chair with my pistol and waited for movement.

They make pellets that you drop down in the hole and it poisons the little bastards.... we have tons of 'em (moles) out here, and only one old cat that can't keep up with the demand.

Check at the hardware store of maybe a nursery for the product.

I've heard that Moles eat Grub worms. Get rid of the Grubs, and you get rid of the Moles. Not sure if there is any truth to this or not, but they sell things to get rid of Grubs fairly cheap.

I removed a few and it works better than anything. I'd even say it's better than the nitro gun. Cheap as hell too!


But if I had moles in my backyard I would just make the whole damn area in hospitable to anything there.
Put down tons of grub worm killer, and spray their holes with insecticide every day for a couple weeks.

Everything will leave or die soon.
They might be back but it will be a couple months I bet!

A friend of mine, a rather crafty ol' fucker used an old lawn mower. He took the blade and muffler off of it. He attached a short piece of pipe to it, then a hose. He ran that hose down into one of the mole holes and fired up the mower engine and ran it at WOT. I guess it gassed those little fuckers, because he claims to have seen only a couple more - he repeated the process and I believe they are now gone.

I guess if you wanted to take it a step further, you could put a few drops of oil in the exhaust every once in a while to make a smoke show - then you could see where all of the holes come out of the surface. :D
