One project down, a few hundred to go...
Last week I told you guys that I got the floors in. Well now I've finished the trim work and painted everything... The result was surprisingly good...
Cudos to my wife and mom on picking the colors. They look great..
Here are some "Before" shots...

Looks great.. I would make one suggestion. The guitars hanging up are cool, but because they are different sizes it makes it look like they are not lined up (when I am sure the mounts are all even). I would go back and stagger them or otherwise offset them. It should look better and your eye won't be drawn to the uneven line. That or at least arrange them from smallest to biggest (distance from the guitar bottom to the floor).
My paint skills stink but to give you an idea:

Thats not a bad idea.
I swapped the Jag and Breedlove on the end as well as the Martin and the Epiphone. That way the longest guitar (the Epi) is in the middle and the shortest (the Jaguar and Strat) are on the ends...
thx.

I have a question, and this is in no way bagging on how you did things... more of a general question. I noticed that the door is white and the trim is an offwhite. The house I just bought had offwhite doors and trim (possibly just discolored). I just went through the house this past weekend and painted ALL of the interior doors ultra bright white. I've assumed all along that I would paint the trim white to match, however I have some earthy colored walls like yours and was curious if you did that on purpose...

I was originally going to paint the doors RED. Yes, I said RED.
But sanity caught up with me. So for now they are staying their original color. The trimwork has all been painted with a greening yellow. I might paint the doors two tone with that yellow and the green but I haven' t made up my mind..
I'm also going to replace that shitty looking door hardware but I'm not in a rush...

looks good - where did you get the corner workstation unit? We just moved and I had built one in to my old office. I don't want to tear up the walls here and want to go with a more conventional approach. (one that can be moved)
