I'm trying to buy my Mom a new oven/stove/vent hood. She has complained for years about hers so the time has come! :p

Figured Sears but that is more out of habit. Any other places I should look at first?

Home Depot is having a sale. They've got 10% off for appliances $299 and up. Check Lowes too.

I bought a Maytag oven from the Maytag store, of 35 & Royal. They were cheaper than anywhere else I looked.

off 820 and Beach there is a Sears scratch and dent store, go South on Beach from 820, maybe 1 1/2 blocks, it is on the west side of the street

Home depot and lowes usually have some weekly deals.

Texas Appliance in Arlington usually has some good deals and you can usually get them down on prices a little bit. They also have a scratch/dent room where you can sometimes find a good deal. We ordered our new Kitchenaid range from them and paid less than what Sears/Lowes/Home Depot could do even with their special offers.

X2. Especially if the dent is on the side. Who ever sees the side of a fucking stove?

Depends on how the kitchen is laid out.

DirectBuy has great deals on appliances as well. It will all depend on what you're looking for. If you're looking for that Viking shit, that people try to pass off as a restuarant range, there is a place on 35E called Capital Distributing that used to carry it. I think they still do, but it's been a while since I've been in there. They are pricy, too.

I'd love to help you out, but someone would have my ass in a sling if I sold you one of mine.

Texas Appliance, they sell wholesale. We bought all of our kitchen appliances in stainless steel, side by side LARGE Refridgerator, Microwave, Oven and Dishwasher for just under 2k out the door. They are off of 303.

definitely hit up a scratch/dent section. If you can hide it, then who cares. But sometimes they give HUUUUUGE discounts..

Sears has an outlet in the Grapevine Mills Mall that hasa lot of stuff. We picked up an electrolux icon double stove for half price and it had a small scratch on the stainless steel. I worked that out with a wheel and it looks new. They will sell the 5 year plan for it as well.

Other place is www.ajmadison.com Great prices on appliances.

Of course you could always use craigslist some decent deals on there we replaced our rent house appliances from there with like new stuff.
