Props for the Mavs for the comeback, but their end of the game shots have been TERRIBLE of late. Down by one, and Kidd is trying a 3 pointer with plenty of time on the clock? I shook my head when that left Kidd's hand...thats not why we traded for him.

This was a disappointing lose, but it's hard to give the mavs much credit when the Lakers were without Gasol & Bynum. I can only imagine how the game would have went if they played.
Mavs just needed this win, to beat a higher ranked western conference team would have help.

Yeah, they're play in the first half was horrible. I was glad to see the comeback and thought we might be able to steal the game, but we just buried ourselves too deep in the beginning. Too much to overcome. I was really disappointed to see the slow, iso offense being run. Basically, all that Kidd brings to the game has been taken away. Hell, I think he had 4 assists or something?? Kudos to Jet and Dirk who busted their ass at the end of the 3rd and 4th to keep us in the game. NO ONE else had much of an offensive impact except Josh.

The Mavericks have got to improve their defense in the paint. Damp and Diop are/were both #2 big men, got to get someone stellar like Gasol, Duncan, or even un-injured Yao. Without someone to protect the basket they'll always be hind tit. There were waaaaay too many uncontested dunks last night, fucking terrible. It was nice to see them rally in the 4th, but these close losses SUCK.

Mavericks won't do shit in the Playoffs again this year. Kidd sucks but I think he's still better than Harris at the position.

Very True, before the trade they did a side-by-side comparison of the 2. Kidd only led in assists, Harris led in points, rebs, etc.

Why are you guys saying that Kidd sucks? He doesn't suck. He is playing with a Mavs team that does not run transistion like Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. Howard likes playing ISO offense, Dirk will and can not run the court for shit. Terry was the one that got the team going, he started attacking the basket, but it was too little too late. Kidd does not suck. He is just with a team that doesn't run the floor as much as Jersey did.

He is supposed to run the offense and distribute the ball. When he finds himself open, he should score (Kidd sucks here) but his primary responsibility is to dish to the open man (Kidd is not performing as-advertised here).

I'm willing to give everyone time to get things in order, but going 0-6 against teams with a winning record is BULLSHIT for a team that wants to have postseason success.

Harris had 26 pts and 9 assists tonight. That's about 25 points more than Kidd had last night.

With Kidd in the game Terry disappears for some reason. When Lue came in Terry started lighting the Lakers up.

Play Lue more and see what happens.

Not entirely true here. Yes, they lost his scoring...not quite 20 pts though...and the Mavs have been scoring more as a team since Harris has been gone. But yeah, Jet and Kidd aren't the greatest combinations. I think the Mavs get TOO pass happy sometimes...passing up easy shots for harder shots. Brandon Bass also disappeared in the Laker game and that didn't help.
