20 points in the 1st half! Mavs currently up by 25 pts in the 3rd period. Granted, they've been very weak teams the last 3 games, it is nice to see Dallas taking care of business where they need to.

This is a great stretch of games for us to build our confidence with Kidd and get that swagger back. I think we're gonna make a big run in the West in the next few weeks.

I just confirmed my playoff tickets and '09 season tickets today....wooohooooo :D

I wonder if Avery went to drop a deuce when he left the bench earlier

this was a beat down. This should be a good confidence boost for the mavs.

Nice win for the Mavs. Lue looks like he will be a good backup to give Kidd some rest.

More on Johnson -

Notes: Johnson left the bench with 5:20 left in the first quarter, and returned 2 1/2 minutes into the second quarter. Johnson, who recently had the flu, didn't explain his absence. ''I had to step away for a quick second,'' he said. ''There are no lingering problems. I feel great.''

LOL

Well, we get 2 more relatively soft games against the Pacers and Heat, and then we get back to the meat. The Lakers, Celts, and Spurs come to town next week. This time, coming close, only to lose at the last second won't count as a mental victory. Mavs needs to win at least 2 of those 3 for me to get rid of the #*$&% feeling down in my gut.

I was sitting on the floor, and the Mavs looked great last night. In the 2nd they had all but one starter on the bench, and the scrubs were kicking the shit out of Charlotte.

mavs might be 7-4 since Kidd but they are 7-0 against teams that aren't playoff caliper and they are 0-4 against teams that are playoff cailper. Also consider that they havent beaten a team that was above .500 and in the playoffs since Feburary 12th against the Magic. The stretch against the Laker, Spurs and Celtics will answer if the Mavs did the right move on getting Jason Kidd, and that the reasons that they lost to San Antonio and Los Angeles was because they were on the road.

Stop. Just put the brakes on what you're saying. We'll see where the Mavs are slotted in the playoffs soon enough.

lol that was cool, i think they'll beat the celtics and the spurs being that they are at home, im interested in seeing how they play the lakers though. All I know is that there is going to be a team that wins over 50 games and not make the playoffs, however the eastern conference has 3 teams under .500 that are in playoff seeding

I predict that the Mavs go on a mini-tear through the next 2 weeks. We play LA on Tuesday (who will have just played Houston and NO), Boston on the 20th (which should be a good test) and SA on the 23rd. SA has been beaten by Denver, Phx and NO in the last week. I LOVE how all of the "elite" teams are playing eachother through this final stretch of the season. I'm watching the results of EVERY game and am riveted on the standings. Very entertaining. And BTW, I don't think the losses we incurred at the early onsets of KIDDIRK should be too much to worry about. We're beginning to gel now and will bring it home to settle up! WOOT!

Didn't Devon Harris come in to town and bring a big bag of nothing last week? That was pretty telling....... Then again, maybe it was just a bad "Brake" for him that night.....

Harris wasn't great but when your highest scorer was jefferson with 15 points then i think New Jersey has a problem.
