It will be interesting. I am not sure who is gong to pull this one off. They are both well rounded.

I wouldn't bet on it, but I think I am going to take Sherk on this one. The main reason is because of his cardio. I think Sherk will fight at a pace Penn won't be able to keep up with for more than a round. Penn looked good his last fight, but he still was huffing and puffing after he won. Penn could easily win it, but it better be in the first round.

Who do you think will win?

penn has more "ways" of winning, better submissions, strikes .Sherk is a monster at 155, but he rarely finishes fights.

another vote for Penn. If it was a 5 rounder and SS could avoid the sub in the first 3 or 4 I think Penn would be gassed.

read deeper, the part about if sherk could avoid the sub for the first 3 or 4 rounds was important. I don't think it will go 3 rounds much less into the championship rounds.

It'll be hard for for BJ to sub a guy like Sherk. Not saying it can't happen but we'll have to wait and see.

BJ will win it.

I think too much has been made of him "gassing" in the Hughes fight. He had broken ribs, this labors breathing and affects every aspect of BJJ and ground work.

He has gone the distance in a lot of his fights, it's not like he can't make it past 2 rounds.

Franca got beat down pretty good from what I remember. It was a one sided fight for Sherk. I remember because I hoping Franca would win.

If you understood the slightest bit about what goes on in a ground war you might begin to understand. There is more clinching in boxing than ever now, and you try to compare the two? Isn't there some Aggie thread you need to go defend or something?

This should be a very interesting fight if sherk wins he should rematch St. Pierre.......... Oh well I guess if Penn wins he should rematch St. Pierre. Of course that is after Pierre smashes Serra. I use to like Serra untill I saw how he continually Disrespected Hughes. I hope Hughes comes back and kills Serra. Then some how steps up to 185 and takes on Silva... ha ha.
