Yeah, they're making a run at it. They've closed the gap to 4 after trailing earlier in the 1st period by 21 points. Dallas will make a run and then the Jazz will push the lead back out a little, but Dallas has steadily closed the gap throughout the game. The crowd is really into the game right now because Dirk knocked Kirilenko out of the game earlier with a hard foul. Everytime Dirk touches the ball, the crowd gets very loud with their boos.

As usual, they play well for a few minute runs then they slack off.....they don't know how t o finish people off.....they better figure it out else we'll see another quick exit from the playoffs if they even make it.

I'll admit they look a little confused out there. Its a work in progress. I was listening to Avery yesterday and he is convinced that once they gell a little they can be a force in the playoffs.
One big problem i see right now is both J Ho and Terry just aren't shooting well. Its placing alot of offensive pressure on Dirk.

What i see the mavs needing to do is continue getting more comfortable with Kidd running the offense and finding someone reliable for 10-12 minutes a game backing up Damp. They also need a backup for Kidd as Terry is absolutely awful as the main point guard. The signing of Tyrone Lue may help although i know little about him.
