Not really looking that hard, but is there any work in GIS around the metroplex? I am experienced in ArcGIS desktop (editing and general cartography), ArcSDE administration, and general C# (not too much heavy lifting here...just enough to be dangerous!). Done some ASP.NET coding and have lots of SQL experience (DB2 and MS SQL). Worked at the same place for 17 years right out of college, get excellent annual appraisals, and have the kind of work ethic most people think doesn't exist anymore - the good kind. Just kind of curious what else is out there.

I forget what that company was on 635, there were some development jobs there for their product, name escapes me but it was (is?) popular with city planners. I looked there and wasn't really qualified for what they wanted at the time (mostly arcinfo and mapinfo), but sounds like you have a good background.

And there are city departments of course, but they never pay much.

Last I heard GIS programmers were starting out as G-7 or higher employees, if you can find a federal gig. Mostly that would be washington though.
