Well my best friend, who ive ridden over 40,000 miles with on our motorcycles is in ICU as I type this. He was riding on Sunday and a lady pulled out in front of him as he was doing 55mph and he t-boned her-she never saw him she said. He is now in ICU in a coma with swelling on the brain and we dont know if he will make it. They have removed pieces of the skull to reduce swelling and removed a portion of his brain as well. Not sure if he will make it.

All I ask is that you PLEASE wear your helmet, even if you were like him going to get $$$$ out of the ATM down the street, you never know what could happen.

tell me about it, I used to run to 7-11 down the street or to go check the mail without my helmet, now I wont even get on the thing without the full faced helmet strapped on tight.

yea, true, and it sucks he had to learn the hard way. I just really feel for his wife, 1 mos old and 2 year old.

I never, ever get on my husband's bike without my gear on... period. I hope your friends pulls through. Have they said whether or not he will have permanent brain damage? i.e. memory, etc.?
